PTR School Staff Training

Launching January 2027

Prevention and Intervention

PTR programmes support all children, not just those who are visibly struggling.

This is important to us at PTR. Often wellbeing provision reaches children as an intervention, when they have already crossed a threshold. PTR works as a preventative programme as well as being used as an intervention.

Full programme delivery planning and resources

Training suitable for all school staff

In line with government expectations for mental and emotional health

Affordable and accessible training

4 years of evidence & feedback

The PTR programmes have been independently evaluated between 2022-2026, by McKenney Research. Across 24 schools, 289 children and 273 adults, the findings are consistent.

Three circles with survey results: green circle says '100% of children use PTR tools independently,' red circle says '9/10 Parent/Carer rating,' yellow circle says '9.5/10 Staff rating.'

This is not a programme that shows results for some children in some settings. It shows results across the board.

What your staff actually leave with

  • Full programme delivery planning and resources to manage workload not increase it.

  • Programmes can be run 1:1, in small groups or as a whole class and can be easily adapted to meet the needs of the children and community.

  • Practical tools can be used anytime in the school day, including breathing and regulation techniques.

  • A grounded understanding of the link between emotions, feelings and behaviour, so when a child is dysregulated, there’s an opportunity to respond rather than react.

  • And more confidence supporting children experiencing anxiety, overwhelm or distress, without needing to be a specialist to do it well.

Quote saying, 'It is valid, well presented and sorely needed by our unhappy youth these days,' attributed to a Secondary School Staff Member.

Training built around a busy school life

On-demand. No fixed schedule or supply cover required.

Staff can complete training in small steps around their timetable or as a whole school INSET day, whichever works. One school licence covers every current and future member of your team with no per-head costs and no additional fees as your staff changes.

PTR School Staff Training meets government expectations for strengthening community, emotional wellbeing and behaviour. It is a strong fit for pupil premium strategy, SEND and EBSA support. Our affordable training can also be funded by PTA contributions and school-led fundraising.
